Grace and Faith Counselling – Our Story

A ministry shaped by grace, grounded in truth.

How Grace and Faith Began
Grace and Faith Counselling was born from a shared journey of restoration. My wife, Linda, and I both came from broken pasts. Through Christian counselling, we discovered how God’s grace can rebuild what once seemed beyond repair. That experience became a calling. We trained, qualified, and eventually opened our practice together — a place where others could find the same hope and healing that we had received.
For over two decades, Grace and Faith Counselling became both a vocation and a shared ministry. We worked with individuals, couples, and families across the Home Counties, offering counselling grounded in faith and compassion.
Who We Are
Linda retired from counselling in 2020 due to ongoing health challenges, though her wisdom, warmth, and prayerful support remain deeply woven into this ministry.
I, David Savage, now continue the practice part-time, focusing on counselling for men and married couples. Alongside my work, I balance family life, writing reflections, and maintaining a steady rhythm of prayer and thanksgiving that anchors the work of Grace and Faith.
How I Work
My approach combines professional person-centred counselling with a faith-based understanding of human wholeness. Each session is a safe, confidential space for reflection, truth, and renewal.

I listen carefully — not to fix, but to help clients find clarity and peace through honest conversation and, where appropriate, the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit.
Whether the struggle is anxiety, anger, loss, or relationship difficulty, my aim is always to help people move from confusion toward calm, from brokenness toward restoration.
Faith at the Centre
Everything I do is rooted in the belief that real change happens when grace and truth meet.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I bring my faith naturally into the process, but never impose it. For those who share faith, Scripture and prayer can be part of our work together. For others, I simply offer the same compassion and integrity that faith has formed in me.
Continuing the Journey
Grace and Faith Counselling continues to be what it has always been — a small, quiet ministry devoted to helping men and couples find steadiness and hope in Christ.

It remains, for me, an honour to witness the ways God meets people when they are ready to be met.
“The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden.” — Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV)
