The counsellors David and Linda Savage
David and Linda are both diploma level counsellors and have over 5,000 hours counselling between them since embarking on a counselling career in 2002. They are also grade II level supervisors.
Apart from Grace and Faith Counselling Services, they also sub-contract to Pilgrims Hall Counselling Services, Brentwood, Essex and People at Work specializing in work related issues. They were regular counsellors for The Branches Day Centre for the Homeless based in Walthamstow when it was run by Forest YMCA, they offered counselling and support to the staff, volunteers and clients of the YMCA.
David and Linda are trainers for Barnabas Training International (BTI), the UK's leading Christian counselling training provider.
David is also a tutor at Epping Forest College delivering CPCAB's Level 3 Counselling Studies and Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Linda has gained valuable experience working with women from different ethnic backgrounds such as African, Jamaican, Turkish, Greek and Philippino. Recently she has been developing skills and training in counselling children and adolecence.
David also works for Outward Housing at a project in Chingford, London E4 as a support worker with service users with severe ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
David and Linda are both Christians and have been for over 20 years. They are members of Woodford Baptist Church based in South Woodford, London E4 and was previously The Bridge Community Venue in Maybank Road, South Woodford and are active in serving the local community.
David had previously worked for a major Japanese Shipbuilder as a sales manager for 20 years and Linda had worked as a pharmacy technician and before that a community centre manager.
David and Linda have experience of marriage spanning 30 years and between them they have six grown up children, five sons and a daughter, and ten grandchildren (and counting!).
